CT SCAN - CONE BEAM

The most advanced 3D dental imaging that allows us in pre-planning any dental implant case. This will eliminate any guess work when placing implant, avoid any vital structures such as the inferior alveolar canal, the mental foramen, the maxillary sinus, the nasal floor...

What is the difference between the Panorex vs. the CT Scan?

Some patient might have enough bone height, but not enough bone width to have a wide diameter implant placement. The Pano only shows 2 dimension, which is the bone height. The CT Scan shows 3 dimension, which shows both bone height and bone width. Using only Panorex to determine the diameter and the length of the implant is like taking a 50//50 chance. If patient does not have enough bone width, placing a traditional wide diameter implant will increase risk for implant failure.

At SofTouch Dental, we use the CT Scan, the SimPlant sofware to determine the exact diameter/ length of the implant and the position of the implant placement. This eliminate all the guess work to place the implant with full confidence to ensure long term success for implant integration.

We also offer Mini implants which are smaller in diameter in some case where the space is extremely narrow, and it is impossible to do a bone graft.
